Just a last few images to share of my gorgeous nieces!

This is my sisters family. Between my sister and I, it’s kind of a girly family. Go team girl.
I was hoping for a gorgeous glowy afternoon but we got overcast instead.
It doesn’t matter though when you get an image like this one.

Stay tuned for part two.
One thing I really love about being a photographer is being invited into people lives at really important moments, getting to follow along with each new twist and turn is such a blessing.
You may remember El and Dave from their engagement and wedding photos last year - the sweetest couple very much in love. Now I know what you are thinking and it’s not a new member of the family. In fact Dave’s brother along with his gorgeous wife and son are off on an amazing life experience - they are moving to the USA.
So before they embark on their journey, the whole family got together to capture this moment in time. They also got frocked up in their wedding gear to get a few shots that weren’t possible on their big day…

Wishing you all the best in the States!
Once again this poor blog has been neglected… in the course of my neglect my family have enjoyed the school holidays. Lots of just hanging out, swimming, catching up with friends and having a great time.
Now that I’m back on board I’m ready to share some images from my first session this year. I met Jolene and Scott at Southport Spit, along with their dog Sophie, to spend the afternoon capturing some engagement photos. The location was special to them as Scott proposed to Jolene on the rocks. Awwhhh.
Sophie on the other hand didn’t care at all about the romance of the location - for her it was all about sand, surf and getting friendly the other dogs. She had an absolute blast running amok!
My favorite Sophie moment was when she bounded straight for a young couple kissing in the sand. Sophie is large and looks like she might bite but is in fact the sweetest friendlist dog ever (except of course our own gorgeous Tallulah). The poor unsuspecting couple were on their feet in record time - thankfully they too saw the humor in the situation and had a laugh.

Despite the weather threatening to rain all day we ended up with a glorious afternoon. In fact it was hot and bright to begin with. As the afternoon wore on the light just kept on getting better and better, as you can see from the last shots of the day.

February 3, 2010 - 1:32 am - These are just so gorgeous! What a wonderfully romantic place to propose. (I'd be scared of Sophie!)
Meet Ralph. He is THE happiest baby on the planet.
This is Ralph on a bad day. He was exhausted and yet almost every frame contained a smile. Okay so his Mum did put on a good show for him behind me but still he is one gorgeous little guy.
It’s so obvious how much his family adore him.

By the way - the very last frame was one of the happiest baby in the world crying! He was done!
January 4, 2010 - 9:00 am - Oh my goodness, he is just adorable. I could just eat him up. Love, love, love the baby chub....no offense Mom and Dad, it is just so lovable, and will be gone before you know it...so enjoy!
January 7, 2010 - 12:07 am - What a beautiful baby!!
One of the great pleasures of photographing families is seeing their little families grow (as well as getting to watch their children grow).
I photographed Tara and Joe’s family sometime ago and now they have a new addition to the family it was time to capture their little family . Tara and Joe were married at New Farm Park and our very first photo session was at New Farm Park - so of course it was off to New Farm Park for some family fun and photos.
(You may recognise their little guy from my website and also from time to time I post about some of the charity projects that Tara runs or supports - she is such a busy woman and her commitment to charity work is always awe inspiring.)
So w
So without further ado - here are some photos to share…

Check out these two little cuties.
Two year old twins! Make no mistake - these kiddos were fast. I take my hat off to parents of twins and especially the parents of this set of twins - they were a delight to meet and photograph.

Thanks for a fun afternoon!
I’ve been a little remiss in posting on the blog. Many of you will know that my mum had a severe stroke some weeks back. As you can imagine our lives have taken an unexpected turn and things like this blog have taken a back seat. I’ve still been taking photos but sharing them hasn’t been a huge priority.
So here is a quick post of my littlest princess just to let you know that I’ve not disappeared completely.

January 4, 2010 - 9:03 am - Oh. look how much she has grown.
Be prepared - this post will contain many images!
You might remember Dave and Eleasah from their engagement photos just a few months back.
Well - they tied the knot last weekend. And what a wedding!
Eleasah looked amazing.
Here she is before the wedding

Family is super important to this couple so here Eleasah is getting ready with her mum to help.

And here is her father having his first look at his little girl as a bride.

We can’t forget the groom.

With the boys…

And of course with Dave with his parents.

It’s almost offical…

Once the formalities were over we headed into the city for some photos.
The bridal party - they make a great looking bunch!

Then the light was all but gone

We headed off to the reception and I wanted to share a few images from the speeches. I love it when the speeches are meaningful, we don’t often get a chance to tell publicly our feelings and I just love it when people really let the world know how much they love and care about the people in their lives and that is just what happened at this wedding.

This one I love just because it shows off Eleasah’s gorgeous evening headpiece!

It really is a blessing to be allowed to capture such a special day as a wedding day and I wanted to say thank you all so much for having me and sharing your day with me - it’s truly an honor.
October 18, 2009 - 10:46 pm - Stunning as expected. They are such a beautiful couple and you have captured their love perfectly.
October 29, 2009 - 11:42 am - What a gorgeous wedding, and captured so beautifully! xox
November 4, 2009 - 7:32 am - Stunning work! Where did you take those first two pictures..? Gorgeous location. :) (Hope you are doing well..haven't talked to you in ages. )
This was such a fun shoot with such a great family. It was so nice to photograph a family with “grown up” kids. Lots of families have photos while the kids are little but not so many with older kids and I really enjoyed capturing a family at this stage in their lives. For me having my own girls it got me thinking about the future and what it will be like when my own girls are this age.
Thanks for a fun afternoon guys - it was lovely to meet all of you!
